Rowan grew up in Joshua Tree, California where he loved to hike, climb and just be outside and enjoy the beauty of nature. Despite the little to no water in Joshua Tree, Rowan still grew a loving and deep appreciation for fish as well as aquatic ecosystems. Every summer when it got too hot in the desert, him and his family would cram into the back of their camper and hit the road for months. It was on those trips where his interests flourished.
Rowan recently graduated from Cal Poly Humboldt with a bachelor's degree in fisheries biology with a freshwater concentration. In school, he learned a great deal about fish as well as the many other organisms that surround them. At CPH, Rowan was also able to obtain a vast amount of field experience, from eDNA to seining a beach in a wetsuit, they pretty much did it all. Rowan's interests include fishing (shocker), camping, skating, offroading and honestly anything else that gets him outside. |
