Gus started working on Anabranch projects in Oregon in 2016. Gus joined the Eco Logical Research team in early 2013, and has almost two decades of experience exploring relationships between fish and their habitat.

Gus received his B.S. from the College of Charleston in Marine Biology, and his M.S. from the University of Maine in Wildlife Ecology. Gus' years of experience exploring how fish utilize small stream habitat have lead to his passion for LT-PBR restoration. Gus especially enjoys restoration implementation, and tracking project progression over time. He is also an expert in the design and fabrication of custom instream and mobile PIT- tag detection systems, backpack electrofishers, and fish capture devices that meet specific project needs.

He lives in Bend Oregon where he enjoys climbing, skiing, biking, and showing his daughters how wonderful a life spent outdoors can be.
