our work

Year in review 2020

To say 2020 was a crazy year is an understatement!
Despite the pandemic, our crews followed COVID protocols to get to work on restoring riverscapes. In 2020:
  • Anabranch staff designed over 50 miles of low-tech process-based restoration (LTPBR) projects.
  • Anabranch crews implemented 25+miles of riverscape restoration.
  • We teamed up with our partners to build and maintain over 1,000 low-tech structures on rivers in Utah, Idaho, Oregon, Washington, California &Colorado.
  •  We collaborated with others to (virtually) train over 750 practitioners on LTPBR.
  •  We relocated 19 beaver to riverscape restoration sites.
  •  We also assessed, planned and designed for even more projects to go on the ground in 2021.
